If you continue with the Track Changes feature on, your changes will be recorded. In the Color boxes, select the color that you want. To assign a specific color to your own tracked changes, on the Word menu, click Preferences, and then under Output and Sharing, click Track Changes. Any additional changes will be logged under the new name you enter in Word Preferences.
If you are just trying to change the name that appears when you add a change in the document, you can go to Word -> Preferences-> User Information, and update your name there. But these changes aren’t tracked until you turn on the Track Changes feature in Word 2011 for Mac then, you can send the document to others for edits, and their changes are tracked. Office 2011 for Mac can keep track of the changes made to a Word document, who made them, and when the changes were made.
